 the paper is from Elemental and edge distressed with Cocoa.  I also distressed the Milepost star, I love how the corrugated shape picked up the color.

• Using an 11" x 4.25" piece of CS  score the cardstock at 4", 5.5", and 7".  
• At the 5.5" score line slice the middle of the line the the width of a gift card (or business card)
• To finish glue the middle folded piece together, becareful to only glue around the outer edges so your gift card will still slide into the slit.

Typeset using Magic Layout

This layout was my class workshop layout for this month.  We had super fun making them. 

The journalling spot on the left page is done using September's Stamp Of The Month Set and a reverse masking (or as I call it the cheater way to mask) technique.  To do this tip just don't ever put ink on the top line of the image, I stamped it twice together making the bottom portion of the finished product; on the third time you ink the whole stamp and wham you're finished with an extra long journalling spot (which with four kids in school this year I for one need).

I also LOVED how easy the cut-off zip strips from the top edge of the paper were to use and incorporate for this layout.

So here is my photo tip for keeping your memories and photos fresh, this tip especially works well for events, places, and everyday everything that you seem to take a lot of...

I'm going to use Disneyland for this example, but think outside that box Halloween, Thanksgiving, soccer games are all coming quick.

We went to Disneyland this week and the kids were so excited to be in Toontown seeing the Character's houses.  Now we took our pictures with all the characters and rode all rides, but the thing that caught MY attention that day was how my five year-old, Sara Beth, kept noticing the funny mailboxes at every house and she asked me to take a picture.  After the second house, I realized OMG what a stinkin' cute layout that would make!  Guess Sara Beth has the scrapbooking bug already.  She and I quickly walked back to the 1st house to take a photo of the mailbox and continued on that way all morning.

Stuart Mesa School Back to School Night Rocked

1st card is one of mine.  As most know I love all things St. Pat's Day and this image was no different.  I used Elemental papers, along with our new Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut both the card and the inset. paper!  To make the pot of gold pop (sorry picture doesn't show the sparkle) I added Bronze Glitz™ Glitter Gel after coloring with our markers.
