Wood Creation Falling Leaves Project

 My latest crafting project it has a gold shimmer on the edges from the CTMH Shimmer Brush, and used CTMH our wood accents to decorate them. I also changed the color of the vinyl by painting it with gold acrylic paint.

Revamped Fireplace

I don't think I shared the finished project from earlier this summer.  I saw painting with stencils on pavement onto the Cricut website. I wanted to mimic the look of Italian tile on my fireplace and brighten up our living room with some color.  It was originally solid white. We are thrilled with the results ♡

Wood Summer Vibes Pineapple

I took a gifted wood cutting board from Target dollar area [$3], thanks Bren, and gave it the full CTMH treatment ♡. It's covered in our B&T papers using modge podge as adhesive on wood side only. The top is a triple layer of the blueish/green paper which I pre-cut using Martha Stewart grass scissors to fringe edges for raised texture; only gluing the bottoms and middles. I used my Cricut and vinyl to easily apply the pink lettering (photos don't show but I choose pink because the board came pre-painted edged in pink). I used some retired CTMH ribbon to trim edges and for the white rose's, and misc dark pink flowers. The 2nd photo shows it best, but I used shimmer pens  in 2 different colors to highlight the pinks and the teals. I love the effect on the fabric flowers especially! The shimmer pens come in a rainbow of colors and are a favorite of mine, all glitter, NO MESS.

Decorated Globes

These globes came chalk painted already.  I added the embellishments of layered CTMH flowers, gold sparkles, the vinyl wording,  and it's hard to see in the picture but on the dream globe I outlined the leaves in gold ink as well.

Beware the Metric system while Cricut Crafting

Beware the cm on Cricut when you are buying or getting images from Access or Etsy, etc. You won't necessarily notice because on your cut matt it it still shows in the grid lines the same (with cm beside it).

When you cut however your BIG image becomes small pretty quickly lol, pocket size actually! Ugggghhhhhhh, oops.

Autism Awareness Art with watercolors, buttons, and Cricut

Watercolors, buttons, Autism, vinyl, pride and love♡ Here is one of the two projects I promised to show you. I used a Cricut cut puzzle piece negative space for the button template. I also sprayed clear coat over the water paint before applying the vinyl in order to make them adhere better. Hope you like it, my son loves it.

Stay safe, stay sane....

As we are all stuck inside these days....and after only a weekend of it already we are going stir crazy thinking about what we cannot do or what we are going to miss, or worrying about what we might miss, take a minute to think about a weekend ago when you were at home complaining about how it could be Sunday already and you had to go back to work already?

Let's focus on what we are now "stuck with"!  That thing we have all been actually wishing each week for, more time!  More time as a family, more time to get that project done that never quite can, more time to just spend with your kids playing a board game because there is always somewhere to rush off too, more time to read that book you've been meaning to get around too, or write an actual letter to someone!

Yes this is a huge inconvenience to us all and yes we are ALL missing out and major life events, but we have also just been gifted one as well time together and a lot of it, that doesn't happen often...let's not waste that gift.  A lot of you are Scrapbookers, so make memories over these next few weeks.

Crafting into 2020

Sorry I haven't been blogging very much lately, I know I haven't posted much on Facebook lately either.  Between the holiday rush and some extra family stresses this year, the only crafting I managed was the 100 Holiday cards, which I roped my entire family into helping me with and Cricut vinyl crafting for stickers and shirts. 

I chose a focus word for 2020 (I don't believe in resolutions so no added pressure or guilt) -- mine is Self-care!  Hopefully this will get me some more time to craft once I get back into my safety zone.
